About Us
Formerly trading as Geoffrey B Shove Ltd, Laser Electrical Papakura started business in 1949 and was founded by Geoffrey Shove. In 1985, the company was purchased by Geoffrey’s son Brian and was reformed as Shove Electrical Ltd.
The company has established roots in the South Auckland region with a corporate philosophy dedicated to high quality workmanship and building excellent customer relationships. This has continued over the years and the loyalty of our customers, some of whom have been with the company for over thirty years, bears testimony to the success of our philosophy.
With Brian deciding to move on from the day-to-day running of the business, the company was passed on to present owner Denis Withy in 2007. The business has experienced a broad spectrum of challenges within the electrical contracting and servicing industry, catering to varied clients and often requiring cost effective solutions to complex situations.
In 2009, Shove Electrical NZ Ltd was invited to join the Laser Group. Denis and the team identified that the Laser system, branding, network and tools would provide the business with a great opportunity to further enhance our local profile along with service levels to support our large existing customer base.
In November 2009, Shove Electrical joined the Laser Group and began trading as Laser Electrical Papakura. This has enabled Denis and the team to greatly improve the efficiency of business operations through the use of the LaserPro system which translates to greater service to our customers.
Today, the team at Laser Electrical Papakura comprises of 10 full-time, New Zealand registered electricians who are experts in the electrical field. We have decades of combined knowledge and experience in electrical design and build of high spec homes, large project contracting and electrical servicing to provide a professional, friendly and can-do service to our valued customers.
